Danger Within The Goldmine
The call came and the heart became happy,
It was that set of call that reawakens hope;
A journey to a new life that was prayed for,
Now is the time to begin yet a new career.
This was a long time comes, was it for real,
The heart kept reminiscing over the good fortune;
But never knew that right within the goldmine,
Pains were underway to make life a miserable one.
It was fun working and learning a new way of life,
The family was happy at least food is now sure;
We made good plans of a bigger home to come,
Saving our income we began to strategize on it.
A new life coming with a new hope that sees perfect,
One, two, three things began to fall in pleasant places;
We live, we celebrate, we make merry working around,
It was a new hope that seems so pleasurable to us.
Inspite of the work load, we put in the work,
Keeping on our promises to deliver every part of the work;
But never knew that in-between the dark night of glory,
It was just a time for some of us to begin feeling the tears.
Pleasant surprises that came as a little headache,
After putting in more than 10 good years to the work;
Here the result after so much series of sleepless night test,
I couldn’t fathom the medical report that was in my hand.
Sad how it came but the reality is right within my thoughts,
How could they know what we were getting our hands into;
But failed to enlighten us about the dangers it has for our health,
It pains, it pains, it pains so much within the thoughts of my being.
Now all that is to it is the very pains that seems irredeemable,
Life might never be the same again all because of Mesothelioma;
This battle shall be here for us to win as faith has the answers,
To all things that seems impossible to the very eyes of all mortal.
Now to life I have learn her many lessons hidden in deceit,
In all that glitters, it seems to it, the journey is not always right;
But when faith is at work, no matter the situation, healing is sure,
I trust in His healing hands to heal my soul from this infirmity.
