Imaginable Hope
I live on the line of hope
Hope for the better day that will come.
I sang with joy within my vein
Glory, glory, our day of hope is here
I could feel her presence
Wrapped in the mystery of imagination.
Hope is here to stay
Life is here to worth a meaning
That I might live like a man
Who has a purpose to fulfill his calling.

All In All
The fury forest of life
Seek to consume me
But in the strength of His Word
Will I put my trust.
Life in the dungeon of hope
Tempted my soul to go astray
But I shall not weary
For in Him will I put my trust.
I looked to heaven
And cried for help
He sat and tendered His hand
That I might behold His glory.
Him who was replaced for my sake
Blameless lamp who borne my shame
Him who loves me without a fault
His life He gave that I will live eternally.

When?
I sat in tears
With thoughts gone
Like a smoke out of a thatch roof
To where do it ascends to?
I cry in thoughts
As silent gripped me
My life I seem to lack control
To where is my thoughts roaming to?
I cry, oh, I weep
Oblivion has become a thought in waiting
Where shall the way of all mortal come?
To me, a day is in waiting
A day I will see my sleep ascends forever.

Two’s In One
My head shakes
With tears that almost drops.
My mind questioned
With a heart that pains
Our society what has it become.
My heart bleeds
With sorrow covered in sag clothes.
My soul wept like one who has no hope
How in the mist of plenty
Many shares’ no hope for tomorrow.
I wept with uncontrollable heart
For a journey out for life’s struggles
I see sorrows planted in the corner of our roads.

I Shall
I shall be a mask covered in mystery
I shall be a thought provoked by your heart
Till you dare in suspend to cry.
I shall be a roar in your deepest thought
Castigating your being like the lost of breathe
I shall be a torment to your soul
Breathing valour that must awaken your midnight sleep.
I shall be mad with wicked thoughts,
Thoughts that will reduce your ego to nothing
And make you beg for your right
Like a suspect that committed no crime.
I shall be a terror to your soul
Yes I shall be your wicked thoughts
I shall be your hate-love till you realize
That a Friday that seems good is known on a Wednesday.

Needlelines
In stitches of lines,
Patches of thoughts gathered in words
Thoughts that seem incoherent,
Breathes with the air that unction life.
In lines of emotional inflows,
Loneliness of secret thoughts resurrects
And life is produced in thoughts that breathes
Now I see an angel in the lines that births.
It may sound stupid to the ears of some
Or might make nonsense to many
But to the mind that cherishes the gift of nature
The inborn of a gift is their reward.
In lines of thoughts
Inspiration resurrects like the stitching from a needle
My thoughts are like life buried within a closet
Her day of glory shines beyond the days she was born.
I had rejected this gift out of ignorance
How I was beaten to surrender feeling worthless
Why must it be me of all worthy of this I asked myself?
But now that I had known better, I breathe these lines in thoughts.

Tick And Fleshy
Tick and fleshy
Her body aglow in mass of flesh
Tall and heavy
In mass of pride she carries herself
Bold and sexy
In glamorous praise she define her style
Big and trendy
Imagination of the brain can’t ignore her naturalness.
A gift to humanity, black that is beautiful
With the right flesh and curve at their perfect places
She defines who an African beauty should be.
Who would fault those gifts from nature?
For there are not a make believe
That is described in sheer confusion as
Broomstick, rail stick, pencil thing…
But a rare gift an African man
Would take home as a wife.

Heart Of Deceit
Suddenly,
Her lines seem to cease
And those words
That could make a soul rethink fades
Now the heart wondered in shame
If it has hurt a soul with her thought.
Now my thoughts roam
The line of words seem to cease
I sat here in the dark
With eyes fixed to the sky with questions
“What is a love worth
When the heart of deceit rules her?

Dance In The Forest
The passion of the wave
Blowing without caution
The signs of her music
Only known to her inhabitants.
Dancing time is here
The trees shall dance
The grasses shall dance
The living and non-living
All shall hear her melodies.
Gentle by gentle her drumming evokes
Wild by wild her dancing began
Day in day out her sound spreads
In mysteries that is only know to the spirits.

Worthy Princess
She whose voice resonates
She whose head the crown fits
A worthy Princes from Uduan Inyang Atakpo
She is whose heart accommodates all.
I had tested her kindness
So I could tell beyond reasoning
She is a gift whose heart transcends boundaries.
Years has gone by
Yet her beauty blossom beyond ages
She is same, the way she was.
I am talking of her
Her they called “Phonetic”
Her that was ones crown “Miss Akpoly”
I saw her some months passed
Still she was carrying that same pride
Same pride that defines a true African woman.
Embodiment of help I would say
For out of her way she could go to help others
These virtues are only a reserve for a Princess
She is a princess that goes by the name – Uduak Ette-etim.
